Hey folks, just wanted to tell you about a drink I invented a few years back.
I call it an \"Air Canada. It's basically just a double espresso with a spoonful of foam on top (espresso macchiato, I think it's called), then for a twist, I add Pure Maple Syrup (Aunt Jemima's will do in a pinch) instead of sugar. It's pure flavor and is best enjoyed after supper with rich piece of cheesecake.
At least you tried. I find the flavors compliment each other well, but you need the right shot, and the right variety of syrup. Sometimes cheap no name syrup tastes better.
Thanks for trying.
I still harbor the secret desire that it will become the next great espresso drink. I dream of sitting in Cafe Artigiano reading a magazine, and hearing someone come up to the counter and ask, \"Can I get an Air Canada please?\"
I give this drink a go every now and then when I feel the need to have some milk in my coffee (that's not often). It's good. I have to get my hands on a stovetop steamer dealy-thingy and get some steam milk going with it. Thinking that will work a little better.
