Glad to be back. was created by brokemusician77
I haven't been on this site for months. Mostly because every time I came and tried to read the forum, it asked me to login. Since I'm lazy and usually on my ipod, I just didn't bother to take the time. Now that I only have to login to post, it's made the site much more usable again.

Thanks Colin!

Oh! Thanks. Yea. I think I must have eased the restrictions some - I wish I could get back into the writing groove.
Have been busy for the last 3 months with an ailing and elderly close family member - that is on the mend... currently way behind in all my writing obligations for this website.

Going to Hawaii in 3 weeks for most of November -- AND GEEPERS DO I NEED THE TIME...
-to get caught up on things.
-to actually rest and restore
-to actually eat, drink and breath coffee for 3 weeks.

One of our hosts will be the awesome folks at BLUE HORSE KONA in Kealakekua near Captain Cook, Hawaii - Our base camp will be at the Hale Kona Kai waterfront condo on Alii Drive.

I think the 3 weeks will allow me to recoup, regroup and generally rebuild this particular episode of my life.

I'm really sorry to hear that Colin.

Glad you'll have a bit of a rest coming-up. Hope you can rest & rejuvenate.

Although I doubt you'll take me seriously, I'm serious when I say I'd be glad to help with some of the writing, if I can. (mostly I'd love an opportunity to try out/ review some gear). You can read the review I posted on my old Hamilton Beach machine if you like. I'm a musician which means 3 things right now:

1. I travel all over the country, and have lots of opportunity to visit new establishments.
2. I'm too broke to afford new gear, and would love to find a way to use some better gear, even on a trial basis, without having to shell out the cash.
3. I have LOADS of downtime, which I spend reading everything I can about coffee, and contributing, where I can, to forums like yours and HB.
4. I don't have a day job, so if I'm kept up all night from ingesting too much caffeine while trying out new gear, it doesn't matter. ;)

Let me know if I can help.

Enjoy your time away.

Glad to be back too ...

There's been quite a bit going on with me that has kept me away from a few of the things I like to do. This is one of them things. Most of "that which kept me busy" is done. Is good to be back.

I look forward to reading stuff from you brokemusician. I'm looking forward to getting into the writing grove myself.

Cheers, Guy
