Just spent 5 days in Vancouver - arguably one of the coffee hot spots in North America and likely one of the best places in Canada to explore every variation on coffee culture.
I parked my car in the hotel and never took it out the entire time. Getting around Vancouver is as easy as buying a compass card from Translink (B.C. Transit), loading it up with some cash or buying a day pass and heading out into the street or the subway.
There are numerous neighbourhoods that are chock a block with cafes, bistros, bakeries and bars - no shortage of every choice of place to eat or drink catering to every taste.
Part of the fun in Vancouver is the great people watching in a truly beautiful city. Vancouver caters to the cycling and outdoor population as well with protected bike lines everywhere. I'll try and do a blog entry at some point about the experience.
