Colin

Are you telepathic! I just sold my Silvia. I smugly beleived to be the best home machine until endlessly frustrated, and jsut bought a La Pavoni lever - now back on sale. It sounds like the Oscar as I really do not need the grief - Thanks for your clarity

Hi Colin,
thanks for opening my eyes.
I was on my way to a real alpha-manic.
Half a year ago a regarded my good old Faema Family to be the better Silvia for maniac tuning sessions.
Within a couple of weeks I found myself surrounded with PIDs, temperature probes, instruments and other technical stuff. I did spent my nights with internet researches about the results of other maniacs.
I bought a huge Fiorenzato Doge grinder for best support from the grinding fraction.
Then a found an article from a guy who even equipped the Faema Family with a Krupps continuous-flow water heater for hot water, a PID and other devices.
Wow, the maschine was looking like an interstellar overdrive. This guy must be a God in the alpha-maniac-coffee-heaven.
The only concerns from my side have been, how this inspirations are possible without smoking pot every day.
At this time my marriage was in absolute danger.
Then ..... I did read your article .....
I bought an brandnew Oscar, making its funny way from Italy, the land of production, via Northern Irland to Germany, a Grinta and later an Innova grinder (must be two, a little alpha-manic is still there).
