Okay ... all of these recommendations for coffee beans in Vancouver and Victoria are nice.
But we don't all live in LotusLand.
So, any suggestions for beans in Edmonton or Calgary please? As a newcomer in AB, I would like to know where to go for the good stuff.
Thanks ... peace.

Grant:

I have just discovered St. City Roasters in St.Albert (just outside of Edmonton). They sell only organic beans from 'ethical' sources. Both green and roasted.

Thanks for the info!

The greatest challenge for the specialty coffee lover is finding decent bean.
We LotusLanders do have much to be thankful for - I will grant you that.
It was with great horror that I survived 5 days in Regina - desperate for a good espresso and very little to be found.
That is life. All is not lost. There are some good roasters that do overnight mailorder - granted this can be pricey but it is better than drinking KAK.

Indeed, one of the best coffee places I have found in Edmonton (at 104th and Jasper...the name escapes me) told me (after I complimented them on their excellent cappuccino) that they get their beans from a BC roaster on overnight deilvery. You might want to go there and chat with them.
