First and foremost, hello to all. This is a very interesting place. I'm going through the forums, articles and surfing it in general gleaning more information on coffee than I ever thought about before. It's been fun so far.
The help part is this ... can the admin please delete this account so I may start another? I did not intend for my username to be what it is. Typing too fast and not reading was entirely my fault.
Thanks in advance.
If this cannot be done ... I guess this will be it.
It's me again ... Trahan aka canuk_guy. It's a name I use when I'm in forums ... I'm use to seeing it and answering to it and I appreciate the Editor taking care of the other account.
Ok ... something about me. Well it seems I'm a coffee newbie. At least that's how I feel after surfing through here for a while. I do love my coffee ... black. That's it ... that's how I like it. If I put cream and sugar in it, well then ... you make bad coffee. I'm a coffee press fan. Have a stainless steel one, mostly because I have broken the glass ones time after time after time. I gave up. Steel no breakie and I can make my coffee with it. I jumped into trying a mocha pot. A friend lent me an aluminum one. First time I cleaned it I thought that there's not something right with the way this grey stuff is staining my wash cloth. I now have a stainless one, a Bialetti KittyOro 4 cupper. I have no idea if this is good gear. I wandered into an Italian Market store here in Calgary and walked out with a stainless unit I liked the looks of. I'm learning my way through this thing. I thought I was doing well until I read an article on another site (not sure if name dropping is welcome, so I won't until I know) and I'm trying something new as I write this. I have my own grinder. And now I'm sure a the part that will get a few frowns ... I buy my coffee from Starbucks. If that's not ok, take a deep breath and tell me where to go (and not to that hot place) and what to try. I'm willing to learn.
That's me ... well coffee me so far. Hope to learn some more here. Oh and coffee suggestions for Calgary would be nice. Oh and where to buy one of those Aeropress here in Calgary. And those vacuum pots look interesting too.
