1st Gen Baby Gaggia help was created by BUSH
I have a baby Gaggia that's about 10 years old and has always been a faithful workhorse. It has now started to make steam at all times without the steaming button pressed. Either brew head unit or wand all I get is steam. I backflush every two weeks and descale monthly. Any ideas on home fix or should I to directly to Zuccarini for factory service? I am moderately technically inclined.

Thanks in advance

If you have a multi meter or bulb-type tester, I'd look first at your thermostats: sounds like one of them has fused itself closed so that the heat element stays on continuously. Not familiar with the baby specifically, but in general, thermostats are fairly straightforward to replace and probably one of the most inexpensive parts on the machine.

Exactly - it is an inexpensive fix - or a DIY.

The button thermostats are about $12 ea.

So no worries there.
