file Help, I broke my thermostat

Help, I broke my thermostat was created by Chefjp
Hello, I was cleaning my Gaggia espresso today, and when trying to put it back together, I was screwing the brew thermostat, and I over tigh it and the thread broke leaving the threated stub inside. I have all ready located a spare thermostat online. But How in the world do I get the stub out? please help!!!!!!

Can you take a picture of it and post it here (after reducing the size of the photo to 640 X 480 or less of course...)

Or e-mail me a photo -- just trying to visualize -

You say that you are using the GAGGIA ESPRESSO?

Ah! It is all coming back to me.

Get that unit to a machine shop and have them drill out the stub.
I could do it in my shop - but you are not likely very close to me.

Is an easy task -- just do it right the first time - and don't damage the existing threads.

I had a similar experience of changing the thermostat. Before doing that make sure to disconnect the electricity. Make sure it is specific to your make and model of coffee machine or it will not fit or function properly. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and mine is from www.taceesi.com/products/ .You can make sure that the new thermostat is functioning correctly once you have installed it by using the multi tester. It should display a closed circuit indicating that electricity is passing all the way through the circuit.
