Has anyone here wired a PID into a Rancilio Silvia?

If yes, where did they get their control unit.
I would like to do this with my Silvia.

Honestly, when people don't bother searching the site ... ;)

I believe that while Kristi moved on to CG world shortly after stopping in here with her initial enthusiasm for PID'ing a Silvia, she could probably answer a lot of those questions [search back or check her CG profile, also kristi].

"moved on" ?

was there something that we did not do for her?

Granted there is a lot to offer on CG -
that said, we can answer most questions given a day or two.

Of course, I guess there is more energy there when there are hundreds if not thousands more people in the forums.

I do not hang out there anymore nor do I participate -
Haven't been on CG's or his rant(hate) site in a good 14-16 monthes
and I have never felt better.

Bad vibes and I do not mix.

Hi Colin;

I used the Fuji PXR3 and a washer type thermocouple from TTI global ( www.ttiglobal.com/ ).

Check the specs on the PXR3. If you like what you see, I have a second PID and thermocouple, new in box, never molested in any way, which I'd be willing to part with for a reasonable price.
