Found a forefather of mine 'Guillaume Frings, +/- 1750 , 'fabricant de caffe' in Eupen, Liege, or Antwerp, Belgium. Kills me that I can't find more info about if he had a shop, roasting facility, import business. Anybody having any ideas how to go about it? I am not an expert in genealogy, but willing to learn.

That is a very good question Joachim - not sure how I would proceed -
We have an outfit in Canada called, I think, ancestry.ca that helps build family trees - but when it comes right down to it - when a family tree is being generated it being generated off of the backs of the people that do the research - there is nothing magical about it - church records, business records, word of mouth, etc etc etc...
Can be a tough slot figuring out our ancestors from time to time...
