Geir Oglend provides the greatest cup of coffee - at the Drumroaster Cafe, 1400 Cowichan Bay Road in the little shopping mall at intersection of Island highway. Had an Americano on first visit and then drove up from Victoria again for a second visit in a week. Patricia's muffins are great too.
His Espresso blend also works great in the Aeropress.
Check it out if you are going up island.
Thanks to Colin for the recommendation in cafe section.
I didn't find any discussions of home drum-style roasters here so I thought I would start one. It's only a matter of time before I buy one of these babies and I have no clue which one to get. As far as I can tell, there are 3 main competitors, The HotTop, GeneCafe, and Alpenrost. Are there any others? How do these stack up against each other? I'm looking for something which does about a half pound batch, has decent controls for time and temp, and cools well.

Thanks for sharing information about Geir Oglend. There are many cafe opening day by day but the best thing which needed to run the cafe successfully is good service, new variety and tasty meal. Customers love a good coffee and also different flavors. I love coffee especially which is also good for health like ...
